Elevator Talk

Hi, My name is Stephanie Crook. My art is largely influenced by storytelling. I invent a wide variety of characters and place them together in ambiguous scenes. The characters may gesture, hold objects, or interact with each other. These characters and their relationships present fragments of a narrative, which the viewer is then responsible for completing. I work most often with pen or graphite on paper, but I enjoy other media such as painting and printmaking.
